Massive week with both 25K Future tournament in Kalmar and a 15.000 SEK summertour in Värnamo! I also have two interesting and upcoming partners if it all falls out right! Matches monday-thursday and friday off and then two matches saturday and sunday..! Intense! I did some practice with Axel Bergdahl and Lucas Renard during the future and tried to keep up the physical training which worked out alright!

Incredible tough week with so many even matches on few days..! The future event was my main target this month and it went well! My best win this year against Denmark number 3 and 736 ranked Ingildsen. I played very well and the match was so close! In my second round against Minasyan I could not reach as high level. Minasyan played solid and went up to 6-1, 5-2 before I almost made a great escape. I had 4 set points before I lost 6-8 in the tie-breaker..! The big problem in the match was depth and power from the baseline. I did not really find it during the whole tournament, but it was really devastating in the match because I could’nt make any good offensive points really. I need to improve power and depth in the upcoming matches and futures! The summertour in Värnamo was a war really. Three very close matches where I found a way to win in the end, but my body did not feel well after the final. Great to find wins when the game isn’t really there, but I need to improve a lot in my game. Depth, power and winning strokes in the rallies. 1 ATP point and world ranking again is great and also a summertour win! Let us keep going!
A great week with a tough ending and a league match loss! We played two matches this weekend! I will come back to them! First, great practice during the week with Johan Claesson, Johan Wennerholm and Emil Hultman beside the group training! The physical training work fine, but I still need to put in more work in stamina! It’s still okey though and didn’t have any problem playing two singles and two doubles this weekend!
Doubles w Edin Hibic (SWE) (-) Lukas Ramér-Olofsson (SWE) (-) / Viktor Selander (SWE) (-) – 4-6, 5-7
TaTK – Kungsbacka TK 1-3
Samuel Börjesson (SWE) (-) – 6-3, 6-0
Doubles w Johan Wennerholm (SWE) (-) Samuel Börjesson (SWE) (-) / Philip Cassel (SWE) (-) – 3-6, 5-7
– Dreamteam in the away win against Lidköpings TK; Joel, coach Löf and Edin!
Great to get som matches again and always fun to team up with good friends and play! The game felt alright, but I need to step in more and play more aggressive tennis! The control in matches was good and also the serve was there! My body felt alright, but as I said, more stamina! Also better flexibility would help! In the doubles I need to poach more and rise the energy level! Better in the second double. Also my returns need to get sharper! Let us improve!
Long time since last update, but I now got feel for it and went for this update! Let us keep this up! League matches in Sweden Division1 outdoor West, Futures, Summer tour and maybe some league matches in Germany is coming up! This week started great with a few days of practice with great friend Johan Claesson! Tough clay player to get it going! Then also practice with Emil Hultman, Linus Olausson and finished the week with a practice in Växjö with Robin Thour! I also did a few practice with the club groups during the week! The physique is alright, but stamina is lacking so I need to do a few more runs next week!
A lot of weeks have passed and it have been rehabilitation, resting, training and one tournament! I have a new possible sponsor incoming, but will not go further with that in this text..! The first two weeks was only resting and some rehab, after that one intense week with rehabilitation and flexibility. Then for a couple of weeks I started training more and more with both physical training and tennis! A lot of practice with Jakob Arvidsson-Ehn these weeks beside the group training! Then I played the first Sommartour in Enköping, Långtora!
R1 – Robin Ljunggren (SWE) (-) – 6-2, 6-0 QF – Michael Minasyan (SWE) (-) – 6-1, 7-6(6) SF – Lucas Renard (SWE) (1060) – 4-6, 6-7(6)
Semifinal in Långtora 15K Sommartour
Good tournament with three important matches! With injury and a lot of time without matches this was of high importance! Really tough semifinal against Lucas Renard! I think I had a little trubble with depth and power from the baseline combined with a too weak of a serve! My shoulder should be more fit to endure more practice so I will try to build on that!
Good tournament week with a not so great ending! I will come back to that later in the text! Just before the trip down to Malmö I had some fine practices with Jakob Arvidsson-Ehn, Alex Boozer and Edvin Sköld! The feel was quite good! Physical status was better and my stamina was alright! Ready for the last Vintertour!
R1 – Albin Ekenros (SWE) (-) – 6-1, 5-7, 6-4 QF – Oskar Brostrom-Poulsen (DEN) (-) – 6-2, 2-6, 6-1 SF – Sebastian Eriksson (SWE) (-) – 6-2, 3-6, 3-2ret.
Turning Torso by night in Malmö
A good tournament if you count out the final incident! Really tought first round against Ekenros where I was down 2-4 in the final set, but did somehow find a way to win..! Also a really tough quarterfinal against Brostrom-Poulsen where I think he ran out of gas in the final set! Really high level from him when he was in the zone..! Then a tough match again against young talent Sebastian Eriksson in the semifinals! In the first set it worked out with the shift of pace in the rallies and a few unforced errors from Sebastian. Then after 6-2, 3-0, he started to play a lot better and stopped missing while I also falled back and played more defense. He managed to take 7 straight games to 3-6, 0-1! Then I found my best serving period this year and just landed most first serves with high speed! 3-2, 30-0! Played really well and then I just strained a muscle in my back in one serve! I havn’t felt anything in my back during the whole match so it was a big surprise! I tried to play another point after that, but it was completely impossible to play through the match. so I had to retire with 3-2 serving in the semifnal! I hope this injury don’t last long, because it was still my best tournament this year and I intend to improve!
Two weeks of great progress with one tournament in the city of Falun! A lot of practice with Jakob Arvidsson-Ehn beside the on going group training where I practice twice a week! Men and Jakob had some practices with focus on volley and net play in general and of course a lot of precision training and matchplay! Improvement in the physical area aswell, better stamina and my body overall is better! Still trying to rehabilitate my shoulder while continuing with my scheadule!
A good tournament with solid performance in the first two matches! Good warm up session with Linus Carlsson-Halldin in the morning aswell! Then a fine warm up with Elmer Möller from Denmark the next day! In the semifinal against Linus Carlsson-Halldin I think we both played better then earlier in Lund! Despite a pretty good serving I still need to rehab my shoulder and serve even better against a player like Linus! He returned good as usuall and I need to find more aggresive returns with a higher percentage! Also a more aggresive play from the baseline! I think I focused to much on defense and let him played his game too much! Back to work!
Really good practice week! Three days of training with Jakob Arvidsson-Ehn, one day in Växjö and practice with Robin Thour beside the clubs group training! Good to change up with a different surface and opponent. Växjö have much faster surface then Tabergsdalen which is good for tempo training. The physical status keeps improving! Still a bit of a problem with my right shoulder, but I try to work with rehabilitation exercises every day to improve it.
Practice of greatness in Växjö with Robin Thour
I have planed four practices with Jakob Arvidsson-Ehn this week and will try my hardest to get my shoulder ready for the weekend and the tournament in Falun..! Otherwise I’m in good shape!
Two weeks and one tournament! I’ve had a good discussion one week ago regarding potential new cooperation partner! It could perhaps become something during this summer! The practice during week 7-8 was with good players Edvin Sköld, Jakob Arvidsson-Ehn, Erik Nyqvist and Albin Hermansson beside the ordinary group training! The Physique is improving and I’ve started do a few running sessions which feels good, but my stamina is just terrible at the moment..!

First tournament with a decent amount of training in to the matches! Very close first round match against Ekenros where I played well! Next round against first seeded Linus Carlsson-Halldin was a tough one! The return of serve was the biggest different I felt! Very good returner! Also Linus played a more offenisve and aggressive tennis with low amount of unforced errors! A fine tournament! I will now focus on develope a better return, more various serves and a more offensive style of play in certain situations!
Progress is key. I just finished the last tennis practice for the week and I would say that my foot is 90% recovered right now! I can do some sprints and it feels good! Great practice with Jakob Arvidsson-Ehn and Vilhelm Fridell beside the group training! Not so many tennis hours this week, but focus was on rehabilitation and it has paid off! Otherwise my physical training goes well, but I need to be able to run again to build better stamina until next tournament!

I will try to practice more tennis next week and maybe start to do some running again while continue to do the rehabilitation program! Keep going!
Good week with fine progress with my injury and a tournament! I did a small amount of tennis training this week! Practice with Edvin Sköld and Jakob Arvidsson-Ehn! I just tried to practice tennis like one hour a day and play the tournament in Borås! However my physical training works good with the stuff I can practice, like upper body strength training and flexibility training! I have also done 2-3 rehabilitation sessions a day!
-Final match won by Lucas Renard (SWE) (1049) against Arvid Nordquist
First win of the year. The loss against Nordquist was pretty heavy with 0-3 in breaks and I only got 1 breakpoint during the match! But I honestly didn’t believe that I could play two matches at all so I was kind of happy with the results anyway! Arvid served better, moved better and returned better! There was a lot to improve and a few things will get better as soon as my foot heals, like my speed usually is pretty good! Now 3 weeks until next tournament so a lot of training and hopefully a fully recovered body! Let’s go!
